Bio

 Dear Parents,

Hello, my name is Miss Ferrier and I have been teaching at the Ocean City Primary School for many years. I am looking forward to teaching second grade students this year.

My philosophy of education is a variety of values and beliefs. As a person, I believe each student should be treated equally with respect and dignity. Each student is a priority to me. As a teacher, I act as a role model for establishing manners, courtesy, and understanding in children. I try my best to teach students the social skills needed in life. Children’s academic and social growth are very important to me. A child must have social skills to relate to the teacher and other students. I also believe that children deserve a quality education, and a safe environment to learn. The learning atmosphere should be interactive and child centered. The primary grades are when the basis for all future learning is acquired. This is when a child develops his/her basis of knowledge. I strive to be the best educator I know how to be. I shall use of all available resources to make my classroom a positive learning experience. My goal is to create a stimulating environment in which children can be creative, interactive and structured.

If at any time you have a question or concern, I may be reached at school (609)399-3191 between the hours of 8:00-3:30. (Please do not leave a message at my extension because the phones go down and the messages can get lost.) If you would like to leave a message at the school, please contact the main office and ask them to leave a message in my mailbox. You can reach me at home (609) 398-4031 in the evenings. Calling my home will ensure that I get right back to you. I look forward to working with you and your child this school year. Remember a quick phone call can usually answer questions and leads to open communication.

 Sincerely,

 Miss Ferrier
