Today the 2nd and 3rd grade students had the opportunity to video chat with a real NASA engineer! As part of a TECH Lab project, students engineered 3D printed rockets and were able to see how a real NASA engineer designs satellites. The engineer, Deepak Patel, is an aeronautics and thermal engineer at the NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. His current mission, ATLAS, focuses on a satellite that measure ice levels at the polar caps using laser beams. So cool! Patel advised students to “stay curious and ask questions!”
